Zircosil (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Endeka Ceramics Sdn Bhd or Johnson Matthey Ceramics Sdn Bhd or Cookson Matthey Sdn Bhd) was set up in 1997 and our plant is located in Senawang, Seremban, Malaysia.Â
We are the first Zirconium Silicate producer in Malaysia as well as in Southeast Asia under the brand name Zircosil. Zircosil is a well-known brand in ceramic and special application industries and has been in production since 1950 in the UK.Â
With the facilities and technology we have in the Malaysia plant, we can produce different particle sizes and chemical compositions to fulfill different market requirements. The products have outstanding properties in terms of high refractoriness, refractive index, thermal conductivity, hardness, and density as well as low chemical reactivity and thermal expansion and are used in foundry cores and mold for precision castings, weld rod coatings, refractories, and ceramic frits for a wide range of domestic appliances. Zircosil® is a critical component of ceramic glazes as an opacifier for tiles, tableware, and sanitary ware. It is also used as a powerful whitener for the body of porcelain tiles.Â
